Google Books: Uses and Opportunities for Teaching and Research

To date, the Google Books project has scanned the contents of more than 7 million books, both in-print titles and those in the public domain.

This session will present tips on searching Google Books effectively for teaching and research. Locate hidden treasures, identify seldom-cited literature, and move beyond the expected.

The presenter will also briefly compare Google Books to other leading e-book resources. Even if you have no plans to incorporate Google Books into your teaching, your students will certainly be using it on their own. Stay one step ahead of them by attending this informative program.
